The Interesting Way Mike and I Met

I had just gotten out of a bad relationship. A girlfriend of mine suggested I meet this guy that is friends with her boyfriendand her birthday was coming up, so she decided he was going to be my date to her birthday dinner.  I was actually going to go on a BLIND DATE!!!  The girls and I get to dinner first.  Mike shows up, hes tall dark and handsome!  I couldn't believe this handsome man was my date, (I say man because he's 10 yrs older than me).  Everyone is having a good time, when my girlfriends boyfriend asks Mike what he thinks of his date he looks at me and says "She aight!!" everyone started hysterically laughing!! I knew I met my match! His personality was right on with mine.  We casually hung out a few times before he asked me for my number.  The night he called I think we sat on the phone for 3 or so hours.  We have been inseparable! We moved in after dating for 6 months, and 4 years later we are still going strong! =)

The Most Amazing Proposal

I had just finished my midterm, that I had been stressing about for week.  I called Mike to let him know I had finished, and he said he would take care of dinner.  He comes home with my FAVORITE..Chinese food!! YUM YUM!!!! He makes my plate, Chicken Chow Mein, Crab Rangoon, Shrimp rolls and a fortune cookie. I finish eating and go to eat my fortune cookie, the packaging is different, but his was as well so I didn't think anything of it.  When I opened my cookie my beautiful engagement ring fell out.  He then got down on one knee and said: "I've been telling you for a couple of years now that I wanted to marry you, I love you and nothing would make me happier then if you'd be my wife."  Hysterical a yelled "ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!"....Now three weeks prior to this. My fortune cookie read : a small package will be coming to you soon....this is where he got the idea from!!! =)
